Here we have the wonderful Sarah, who wanted to come for a shoot to celebrate her body and show her strength both physically and mentally. When she first decided to book a boudoir shoot, she felt a mixture of excitement and nerves. Sarah struggled with body dysmorphia through high school, feeling ashamed of her smaller figure. She says that over time, she has successfully managed to overcome these struggles, and instead learned to love her body.

However, as an adult, she faced new challenges with dermatillomania - a mental illness related to obsessive-compulsive disorder which is characterised by repeated picking at your own skin, resulting in areas of swollen or broken skin and causing significant disruption in the lives of those who suffer from it. Despite these ongoing battles, Sarah recently began going to the gym to prove to herself and others that she was strong enough both mentally and physically, defying the comments from her teen years that she was never strong enough.

After the photoshoot, Sarah felt a rush of emotions—relief, exhilaration, and a newfound sense of self-love. The experience had been liberating, allowing her to see herself in a way she had never imagined. She left the studio with a radiant smile, already feeling the positive impact of the shoot on her self-esteem. The photographer happened to also be a friend - our head photographer Taylah - which was really special in itself. She found a comfort and assurance in Taylah, and Sarah eagerly awaited the viewing session.

When Sarah returned to Crooked Images to see her photos, she was overwhelmed with joy and amazement. The images captured her in the most flattering and authentic way, highlighting her confidence and beauty. Each photograph was a testament to her strength and sensuality, far exceeding her expectations. Sarah shared, "I was so nervous for my shoot and spent days debating what to wear. But once I was there, I felt so comfortable that I practically threw my underwear off when Taylah said I could get naked!" Which we always love to hear that level of safety and comfort!

One of the most meaningful aspects of the shoot was the inclusion of her angel tattoo, chosen in honour of her two nans who have passed. Her first nan gifted her a sleeping porcelain angel and always said she looked like a sleeping angel. She was the sweetest lady, without a mean bone in her body. Her second nanna was a medium, deeply spiritual, and taught Sarah about guardian angels, crystals, and living life to the fullest. Both nannas played a significant role in shaping who Sarah is today.

Thank you so much Sarah for allowing us to capture and showcase the wonderful person that you are.
