Our Commitment to women and non-binary people
Our boudoir photography studio in the heart of East Perth, WA, is a safe space for all who are comfortable existing in a female centered space. We are inclusive to 18+ women, non-binary, transgender, people of colour, disabled and special needs. You will never have to wonder if you’re welcome in a space again, because at Crooked Images, we exist to make sure you are seen, heard and represented.

How does it all work?

It’s so important for us that we get to know you, your hopes for the shoot, your body journey, and make sure you feel comfortable and welcome in our studio and with your boudoir photographer.
Once you’ve booked your photoshoot, we’ll arrange to have an in-studio or phone chat where we’ll explain the process, help you with outfit inspiration, calm those nerves and make sure your boudoir photoshoot experience is tailored to you.
Our team are with you the whole way and are only a phone call away if you have any questions, are feeling nervous or need some extra support.

You’ll arrive at our East Perth studio and be greeted with chilled Prossecco (if you like) and given a robe to change into.
If makeup is included in your photoshoot package you’ll be shown to our makeup room where one of our expert MUA’s will work their magic on you!
When you’re ready, your photographer will take you into our state-of-the-art boudoir studio, make sure you’re feeling comfortable and ready in your outfit and your journey begins.
You’ll be given full posing instruction and guidance throughout so for those who are nervous they wouldn’t know what to do - we got you!

You’ll be booked in for a private gallery viewing where we’ll show you through all your images from your boudoir photoshoot. You may feel nervous to view your images, but you’re in safe hands. We love showing people themselves and are with you every step of the way.
In your viewing, you’l be able to select the image/s that are included in your photoshoot package, and have the option to purchase additional image products if you choose.
We pride ourselves on being a 100% no-pressure studio and there is no obligation to purchase. We will talk you through all the products and also our alternative payment options.

Boudoir photography is an intimate style of photography that involves capturing namely women in their bedrooms. French for “lady’s dressing room”, boudoir photography originates from the art of capturing women in their most intimate and sensual.
Crooked’s photography style was largely inspired by the depiction of women in Western art, with the #metoo movement as the catalyst; using art as our vessel for change, Lauren (our founder) aims to break through the barrier of the long dominating ‘male gaze’, showing viewers how women deserve to be seen and represented and allowing women to see themselves like they never have before.

Boudoir photoshoots pricing depends on the photographer or boudoir studio.
At Crooked Image, for our premium service you can expect to pay a minimum of $440.00 for professional make up, 30 minutes shooting time, 1 outfit plus the option to go nude, and 1 high resolution digital image. Additional images, prints and albums depend on the desires of the individual and can be decided during private viewings. Inquire about pricing and investment here.
